THE CHALLENGE Conceptualize and design a premium cigarette packaging system for Mastermind Tobacco Kenya, elevating the visual identity of the brand through the development of a high-end trim for Supermatch Select. *** MY ROLE Packaging Design, Visual Identity Enhancement, Collaborative Creative Strategy, and Premium Branding Alignment. *** THE EXECUTION Working alongside the Creative Director in 2021, I co-spearheaded the design strategy to elevate Mastermind Tobacco’s product portfolio with the Supermatch Select premium trim. The primary challenge was transforming an established, recognizable brand into a sophisticated, upscale offering capable of capturing Kenya's premium tobacco segment. We developed a refined packaging architecture that infused modern, luxury aesthetics while maintaining core brand equity. By focusing on precision typography, high-end material finishes, and a cohesive palette for the select trim, we successfully repositioned the product to command shelf presence and appeal to a discerning consumer base.
